CM’ GIRI VIKASAM

            The Land Development Scheme for STs-Comprehensive Land development, converting the uncultivable land into cultivable for the sustainable agriculture development of the STs. This scheme implementing with collaboration of Rural Development Department

• Objective – To bring fallow land assigned to STs under cultivation by providing Irrigation Facilities, sharing of Ground water and GW recharge. Programme funded by TRICOR.
• Programme in convergence with MGNREGS (LD and other NRM works), Energy Dept., (Energisation / Solar), Horticulture Dept., (MIP).
• Work taken up include Bore wells / Tube wells, Energisation (traditional or solar), Electric motor pum pset, Name board, LD works, Bore well recharge structure.

• Guidelines issued vide G.O.Ms.No.46, TW (LTR) Dept., dated: 8.8.2017 and Operational guidelines issued vide G.O.Rt.No.491, TW (LTR) Dept., dated: 17.10.2017.
• Government issued orders vide Govt. Memo. No. 1059 / TW.LTR/2018, dated:12.02.2018 to implement the scheme through Rural Development Department.

• Criteria of Fresh proposals

            New proposals can be taken up after exhausting spill over works and as per following        criteria

• ITDA areas –           50%
• Plain areas –           40%
• PvTG habitations –           10%    

• Certifying Blocks/BUGs

            Blocks / Bore Well User Group (BUGs) are identified; a committee shall be constituted at            the Mandal level.

• Mandal Level Verification Committee:

1. Mandal Parishad Development Officer
2. Mandal Agricultural Officer
3. Mandal Revenue Inspector
4. Assistant Engineer Electricity, NPDCL
5. Additional Programme Officer (EGS)

• Eligibility Criteria

1. Beneficiaries/ Land would be selected strictly based on the prioritization from the scheduled Tribe Land Inventory of MGNREGS database.
2. Block area shall not be less than 5 acres and below 10 acres of contiguous land.
3. Blocks thus identified shall be taken up for development based on saturation mode.
4. Two or more farmers are formed a Block.
5. The farmer having the highest extent of land among the group will be identified as the lead beneficiary.
6. Rules and regulations of WALTA act shall be adhered.

• Additional Budget Requirement :

A Letter addressed to the Commissioner of Tribal Welfare, TS, Hydrabad to sanction the funds requirements an amount of Rs.1308.86 Lakhs for Bhadradri Kothagudem District and an amount of Rs.618.31 lakhs for Khammam District under CMGV Scheme for completion of already sanctioned and newly identified blocks.

The Government have issued orders for implementation of Land Development Scheme for Scheduled Tribes while adopting the Indira Jala Prabha (IJP) scheme guidelines to take up the spill over works of IJP and other works while issuing operational guidelines for implementation of the scheme vide G.O..Ms.No. 46 TW (LTR) Dept Dt. 08-08-2017 and 491 TW (LTR) Dept. Dt. 17-08-2017.
