- Rapid Fever Survey in Transmission Season from June 7th to 17th December.
- Filaria Survey :
During the year of 2017, in 6 PHCs 8 villages 4050 Blood Smear Collected for Micro Filaria Identification. And found 2 Filaria Positive Cases detected. (Manuguru - 1 & Komararam- 1) Filaria Cases: During this year 2018 total Filaria cases – 269 {Grade 1 -21, Grade2 – 76, Grade3 - 172.}.
- Strengthening of Surveillance:
We are strictly implementing EDCT& National drug policy on malaria -2016 as for the national guidelines as to achieve Elimination of Malaria by 2030. (Now our ABER– 25.9).
- Dengue Sera Surveillance:
During the viral transmission seasons at PHCs level and Area Hospital Bhadrachalam, Kothagudem and Yellandu fully equipped with Mac Elisa facility.
Previous year during this week ‘10’ Dengue cases reported and this year during this week ‘18’ Dengue case reported. Total Sera Samples tested ‘185’ and Conformed Dengue positives ‘55’.
- Biological control:
Planned to release 2.5 Lakhs of Gambusia larvivorous Fishes in 24 PHCs – Indent also placed. Construct Gambusia hatcheries in ITDA-Bhadrachalam under Vanabandu Kalyana Yojana Scheme in TSP Area of Bhadrachalam Agency.
- IEC/BCC Activities:
- We conduct Anti malaria month celebrations & Inter sectoral Convergence with all line departments meeting under chairman ship of the District Collector in the Month June 2018 and Similarly Anti Dengue Month Celebrations in the Month of July, 2018.
- Planned to conduct World Mosquito Day on August 20th, 2018.
- Planned to distribute 1Lakh various Pamphlets & Banners in Malaria and Dengue prone habitations.
- Planned to conduct Kala Jathas (IEC/BCC) in 243 hyper endemic habitations.
- RALLYs: in 2019 we conducted World Malaria Day Rally on 25-4-2019 and National Dengue Day Rally on May 16th
- ASHA Malaria Kits : 1236 distributed :
1236 ASHA’s identified to distribute ASHA Malaria Kits in High Malaria Endemic habitations to early diagnosis and completed effective treatment and control of Malaria mortality.
- MASS Screening & Treatment at peoples door Step : Asymptomatic Cases -9. Focal Screening and Treatment.
- LLIN’s : 1,63,624 LLINs in 27 PHC’s, 539 Villages covered Population 3,47,621 Distribution Started, So far 1,51,923 LLINs distributed.

Health Services
- Maternal Health Care Service:
Maternal Health Care Services are being provided to the pregnant woman by implementing the following schemes/ Interventions:
- Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) :
1486 ASHA’s have been identified in all habitations across the district to act as Health Resource Persons of first resort. They will be paid performance based incentives for providing services to the pregnant women, infants and eligible couples.
- CEmONC (Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric and new Born Care (5)
Established in September 2004, The main objective is to provide safe blood to the needy people mainly emergency care to mothers and children (caesarian, neonatal care, etc.) These are located at 1.AH Bhadrachalam, 2.Charla, 3.DH Kothagudem, 4. CHC Yellandu and 5.CHC Aswaraopeta.
- Blood Bank and Blood Storage Centers
There are 2 Blood Banks at DH Kothagudem & AH Bhadrachalam and one Blood Storage Centre at CHC Yellandu.
- 24 Hours Primary Health Centres (15)
These were established with an objective of providing Round the Clock Services for conducting normal deliveries and identify the high risk pregnancy cases for refer them to near FRUs.
- KCR KIT
Launched KCR Kit Scheme on 02.06.2017. In this scheme, the mother and kid care items will be provided to newborn babies and their mothers. So far 45,268 KCR Kits were distributed.
- Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram (JSSK).
The aim of this programme is to Guarantee Free and Cash Less Deliveries including caesarian to all Pregnant Women approaching Public Health Institutions and also Free Treatment to all Sick new-born without any out of pocket expenses till at least 30 days after birth to reduce MMR & IMR
- Child Health Care Services: Child Health Care Services are being provided to the Infant and Children by implementing the following schemes/Interventions:
- Immunization Services :
An objective to protect the children against the 7 killer diseases namely Tuberculosis, Polio, Diphtheria, Pertusis, Tetanus, Measles and Hep-B.
- Special New born Care Units (SNCU) :
To reduce mortality of Sick New born particularly among low birth weight babies.
- Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) :
Established in July, 2012 at Area Hospital, Bhadrachalam. To Provide Clinical Management among children who are suffering with Severe Acute Malnourishment. 24hrs care and monitoring.
- Family Welfare Services :
Family Welfare Services are being provided to the eligible Couples by implementing the following schemes / interventions:

- Rashtriya Bala Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) : (12) Vehicles
It is a Child Health Screening and Early Intervention Services to provide comprehensive care to aged from 1to 18 years.
The objective is early detection of birth Defects, Diseases, Deficiencies, Development Delays and Disability.
The teams will carry out screening of all children in the pre-school age enrolled at Anganwadi centres at least twice a year besides screening of all children studying in Government and Government aided schools, whereas the newborns will be screened for birth defects in health facilities by service providers and during the home visits by ASHAs.
- Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme (RNTCP) :
In India RNTCP was implemented in 1997 based on the WHO recommended strategy of Directly Observed Treatment, Short Course (DOTS).
- National Leprosy Eradication Programme (NLEP) :
Leprosy is a highly variable disease, affecting different people in different ways, according to their immune response. Those at one end of the spectrum, with a high level of immunity, harbor a low number of bacilli and are referred to as patients with PB leprosy. Those with many bacilli in the body are referred to as patients with MB leprosy.
- Human immunodeficiency virus infection and acquired immune deficiency syndrome (HIV/AIDS) :
AIDS is not a virus but a set of symptoms (or syndrome) caused by HIV. A person is said to have AIDS when their immune system is too weak to fight off infection, and they develop certain defining symptoms and illnesses. This is the last stage of HIV, when the infection is very advanced, and if left untreated will lead to death.
- ART Center (Anti Retroviral Therapy)
This is located at Area Hospital Bhadrachalam.
- Link ART Center (5)
These are located at 1.DH Kothagudem 2.CHC Aswaraopeta 3.CHC Palvancha 4.PHC Manuguru 5.CHC Yellandu.
- ICTC ( Integrated Counseling Testing Center) (35)
These are located at all PHC.
- STD (Sexual Transmission disease) clinic (2)
These are located at 1.DH Kothagudem 2. AH Bhadrachalam
- National Programme for Control of Blindness (NPCB)
- To reduce the backlog of blindness through identification and treatment of the blind
- To develop comprehensive eye care facilities in every district
- To develop human resources for providing eye care services
- To improve quality of service delivery to the affected population
- To secure participation of voluntary organizations/private practitioners in eye care
- To enhance community awareness on eye care
- To provide best possible treatment for curable blindness available in the district/region.
- To set up the mechanism for referral coordination and feedback between organizations dedicated to prevention, treatment and rehabilitation
- Tribal Health Services :(SPECIAL Interventions under NHM at itda areas)
- MCH & Epidemic Teams: It is identified that pregnant women living in remote Tribal areas are not reaching to the Health facilities to have regular health checkups. Hence MCH & Epidemic teams are provided for better services to the tribal areas. These team members will do the out-reach services to duly identified vulnerable
- Birth Waiting Homes: To encourage institutional deliveries The concept of birth waiting homes is to give exclusively homely room for such women to take care for around 3 days before delivery and leave the hospital two days after delivery. This facility will be encouraging the tribal women and their families seeking institutional delivery. We provide in addition for….
- Dietary support to expecting mother and attendants @ Rs.500.00
- Drop back facility will be provided after delivery (Rs.200.00).
(CHC-Yellandu, PHC-Cherla and AH-Bhardachalam)
- Construction of New Sub-Centers: To improve accessibility of health services to all, paccha health facilities are constructing as part of infrastructural development, Government have been sanctioned 102 New Sub Centers in ITDA-Bhadrachalam in 2017-18 financial year with the worth of 1542 lakhs, the construction process is undergoing with coordination of EE-Tribal Welfare-ITDA, Bhadrachalam
- VEHICLES- Ambulance Services
- Rural Emergency Health Transportation Scheme [EMRI]-108 : (27) Vehicles
The Rural Emergency Health Transportation Scheme has been introduced to provide Emergency Health Transportation facilities to the Public in the rural areas for emergency relating to pregnant women, infants and accidents.

Vehicle provided for drop back for delivered mothers and also for vaccinated neonatal children.
